Oregon Caves
The Oregon Caves were really neat. The drive up there was a bit steep and windy, but it was worth it. We got there right as they were starting a tour, so no waiting even. The cave that we went through is marble, which is pretty rare. It was originally at the bottom of the ocean and was pushed up to 4000 ft when two plates collided. The carbonic acid from the forest that grew above it seeped through the marble and that along with water created the cave.
There were some very neat formations in there. We'll get some photos up soon.

Medford
We left the lava beds today. The last two days there we spent some time hiking around and checked out a few more caves. On one of our hikes we went to Big Painted Cave and the Symbol Bridge. Both of which contain pictographs drawn a long time ago. Of course I don't remember how old the sign thought they were anymore. :) We also went into Skull Cave which has an ice floor year round. They have that part closed off though because all the sediment on the ice from people walking on it was ruining the ice. We could see the ice though. :)

We had to head north in order to get back to the coast to go to the red woods, so we are just south of Medford staying in an RV park for tonight. There's an Oregon Caves National Park sort of on our way. We may go check that out, but it sounds like everything is guided. Still sounds neat though.

Photos of Lucy!
She apparently likes to sleep under the covers.. . So we didn't sleep great last night because when she did dive under the covers she either tried to curl up next to your stomach (then proceed to knead it with her little poky claws) or she went straight to your feet which tickles. So, we decided she isn't allowed under the covers. We'll see how that goes. :) Here are some pics! The lighting in the RV is awful and she was a bit too interested in the camera so I couldn't get very good ones.

Joe showed her the upper bunk and that has turned into her new favorite spot. I think she likes to watch out that front window.

Here she's climbing down from the top bunk.

This is her little area. She doesn't actually spend much time on the blanket, but it's there so she can check out the window whenever. She is spending most of her time in the upper bunk or in our laps.

3 ENTITIES in this little RV?!
Omg. .. Miranda has gone ahead and gotten us a New Family member.
Lucy is a white 1 year old Cat. Already Marking most of the RV as her own.
Within the first hour she explored most of the RV, Used the Littebox, and Ate some food. We hope she will be mellow enough to just "hang out" with us. We'll see what kind of terrors lay ahead .. . . . ;)

UPDATE: After waiting an hour at petco, We drove gently back to our Campground. Lucy Behaved very well. Im impressed so far.

Horse Back Riding
We went for a 2 hour horse back riding adventure today. It was tons of fun (don't know if Joe felt the same way... :) ) We walked along trails out to the beach, then we got to trot along the beach. There was a Russian family with us. We are staying in Florence at Pacific Pines again so we have good internet for tonight then we are going to head inland and go to Crater Lake National Park.
