We got our stockings and opened presents in the morning. Thank you all for the gifts you sent. We went to Nancy's sisters for dinner and we played cards with relatives. Afterwards we came home and watched some more Firefly.
It was weird and a bit sad not being home for Christmas, but we had a nice time.

Well, we're not doing much for our anniversary, but we are hanging out with Pat, Nancy and Sara (half sister). We played many games of pitch, which was a lot of fun. Joe and I went for a walk in the snow in the field with Brad the cat. Mom and Papa had sent the top of our wedding cake to the house. I included a picture of it below... Otherwise, we're going to watch some Firefly and we've been wrapping presents. It's been a fun day so far.

So now that we have snow, the cows are getting crabby. They have to work for at least some of their food now. They're water is harder to get to them now too being the faucets for the hoses are frozen. So, today Joe and Pat got some wood as well as filled a 35 gallon water jug with water to bring down to the cows. They also dumped snow in the trough so that would melt (the water is heated so it won't freeze) and add some volume.

Thanksgiving went well here. Pat cooked dinner and Joe and I found something for our main meal instead of turkey. Nancy's mom had made us two pumpkin pies, so we had a wonderful dessert. Tom also came over for dinner.
I didn't take any pictures then, so these below are actually a little older.
Tom, Pat, and I went to work on Friday to finish moving machines (it was the only day he could get a truck to move the machines to the new jobsite). We woke up to about 6 inches of snow. It's been snowing on and off all weekend.

The house has two cats. They stay outside most of the year, but now they're inside since it's getting chilly out. The cats were named after the couple that gave Pat and Nancy them. They can be really annoying. They like attention.
