Here are some photos of the woods and a stump here. There are these huge, old stumps all over. I think I have a few decent pics on my camera, so the next time I can use my computer (very rainy = no sun = no solar power :( ) I'll try to get those up too.

P.S. I added a couple more from my camera
One of many huge stumps throughout the forest.
A different part of the forest. Not far from a clearing where we saw either a wolf or coyote.
A nasty, big slug.
A tree growing out of an old stump.
Our little area where we parked for a week.

Eeeewww. Last night while watching a DVD, a spider came down right in front of the tv. We killed that one then kept watching. Within half an hour, one was walking on the down comforter across me. We killed that one then, after we had gotten up, I just about ran into another one hanging from the ceiling. So, we started searching for them. In total we found at least 10. They were all the same kind, pretty decent sized and gross looking. We have no idea if there was a nest somewhere and they just got out or what, but we didn't see anymore after that... Hopefully we don't have to worry about them anymore. Gross!

Okay, so these are maybe a week old... but I was bad about getting them onto the computer. I'll post more probable right here as I look through them instead of adding them to their respective post. That way people won't have to go back and find them.

Read this and then look at the next photo.
Crazy looking big tree.
Sunset over Rockaway Beach. This was on the beach a couple blocks from where we were staying. Look on jdurbin.deviantart.com for a few more sunset pics.

So yesterday we decided to bike down the road and see where it goes. Well, it was all downhill (not a good sign for coming back) but other than that it is a very pretty road. There was a trail head that goes into a preserve that's about a mile long. We kept going to the end of the road though. There was another trail head there that was a 2.7 mile hike with the first 0.5 miles being pretty steep. So, we went for a hike.
That first 0.5 was all down and switchbacks. After that is was pretty easy walking except for some muddy parts. Parts of it seemed like an obstacle course. Some trees had fallen over the path, so you had to work around them and then other parts, the plants were crowding in on the path so it was almost like walking through a jungle.
There were some huge trees too. Some had fallen across the path but a path had been sawed through. There were at least a few that were 6 feet across that had fallen across the path. At times you'd be walking through the two pieces.. pretty neat.
Oh, and then after that hike, we were pretty tired and then had to bike a couple miles all uphill back to the RV.

Took us a long time to find a suitable national forest road to explore.
We went down one right before Lincoln city and it's great We have internet(slow), Sun for solar, and HOPEFULLY only 1-2 cars per day might drive by... . So hopefully we can hide out here for several days
Really sweet forest, and some good biking ahead of us (Cold and rainy today)
