Oh, afterwards we went to a Mongolian Grill in Newport. It was quite good.

Okay, so we went surfing today. Super long walk, but the waves were gorgeous and it was tons of fun. I stood up almost every time I caught a wave.

Anyway, here are two dune buggy videos. One of Joe driving it on the beach and another I took from the passenger seat while on the dunes. At some points I was kinda paying more attention to where we were going as opposed to where the camera was pointed... sorry.

Went out surfing again. The waves were relatively calm and very nice for catching and practicing. Tons of fun, but after three previous days of surfing I'm am worn out. Our seal buddy was hanging out by us for a bit. At one point Joe was to the left and ahead of me and the seal was basically in line with Joe directly in front of me, within 20 feet of both of us. Kinda fun watching the seal watch us.

Well, surfing at Beachside was awful. It was pretty rough and the currents were really strong. So, we decided to move back up to South Beach, where we stayed before Labor Day Weekend. It's a longer walk to the beach, but the surfing is a lot nicer. I stood up bunches and even rode in the whole way a couple times.

We had a seal buddy that kept poking up and checking us out. A few times it was probably within 20 feet. Same thing occurred when we were at Beachside. A Harbor Seal kept popping its head up not far from us apparently checking us out.
Well, we're staying here for at least a week if not two, then we might head inland instead of staying on the coast like we've been doing. We'll see.

Woohoo.. We're at Beachside State Park Campground, Near Waldport OR now.. Without Super Internet, But it fulfills all of our other requirements for perfection:
Near the Beach (2 city block walk to the water)
Surfable (Nice sandy beach)
Hot Showers (Really really nice after getting all sandy/salty in the cold surf)
Not too pricey (Only $17 for camping, or $21 for elec and water!)
Last night we went on up a great little paved national forest road, found several boondock campsites. But, We wont be using them ;)
We are set to be happy-camping until it gets chillyy
