Cool. we found a free campground about 60 miles (3 hours of us traveling) down the road. Normal people camp by the lake, we're parked at the top of the campsite-loop-road on a mountain so we have cell signal ;) Keeps us away from people also Nice.
On our way here we noticed a horse caught in a busted fence and stopped to inform the owner and help.. surprised none of them ran out into traffic.
This place looks great, We'll see how bad the Friday night crowd is at a free-water-hole.. . .

Last night we basically stayed right off the freeway. We were really tired and the RV got upset going up a hill...
Something prolly with the transmission not working quite right to get this big lug up a mountain. Joe figured out
that if he works it manually (puts it into 2nd) it does just fine. So, Joe barely slept because of the freeway traffic,
but we got on out way to Spokane relatively early. In Spokane we stopped at a Sprint store and picked up a broadband card.
In areas where it gets reception, it's pretty good. We're able to drive down the road and still have internet.
We'll see how it works in the long run.
We stopped in Grand Coulee and saw the dam and went for a swim in Lake Roosevelt. That was nice.
We're staying off of highway 155, maybe on reservation land? Not really sure, there are no signs anywhere.
There is a little pond that we are near. Some neat birds on the pond, but it is too dark to get any good pics.
Unfortunately, can't stay here because no internet signal. :(

Well, we didn't pick the best time to leave.... right at the start of a thunderstorm. It was just starting to rain when we pulled out of the driveway. It hit Kalispell pretty hard.. There was lightening striking everywhere and lots of wind. We saw one big lightening strike and then the power went out. That wasn't far from Pat and Nancy's so I'm sure they lost power. And people are idiots when the traffic lights don't work... :p There were even some tree branches in the road. Right on the north end of Flathead Lake, south of Kalispell, a tree fell across the power lines and into the road, leaving only one lane of traffic. Fortunately, a firetruck was there directing traffic, but they weren't chopping into the tree yet, so it must not have fallen too long before we got there...

So it has been in the 90's for at least a couple weeks... Very hot and dry. It's raining now Woohoo! I also finished work today so Joe and I are going to be packing up the RV tomorrow in order to leave very soon. His plan is tomorrow night.. (driving will be less busy). Plus we want to get to Spokane relatively soon to check out a Sprint store about internet. Pat's sister was by and stayed for a night a couple weeks ago. She and her husband were truckers for a while and apparently she used something with Sprint for internet and she said they had really good coverage... We'll see how it goes.

So started back running the delimber for Pat for a Week and a half while Dave (the not-so-retired delimber operator) is on a trip.
It went fine, but I couldn't fall asleep last night and we left at 4am... so I now have a bad headache and Joe thinks I'm loopy...
